Hook

Climax

When Mira called Bharati on the phone, she was furious about how America changed its rule about immigrants after they had already gotten there.

Falling Action

Bharati said that she is fine with living in America and having a green card because then she can go wherever she wants and come back to a satisfying job. Mira, on the other hand, has a totally different experience. She still wants to go back to India.

Rising Action

The sisters married in America instead of in India. They stayed really close to each other and felt more like sisters than ever.

Rising Action

Resolution

Mira feels trapped in America and stuck in one location. She is happy to live in America as Indian rather than immigrant American. Bharati feels what Mira feels about hoe thousands of people like them got drug out of the country, but Bharati wants to be apart of her country and make a difference.
