When you have anaemia, your body doesn't produce enough healthy red blood cells to supply your tissues with enough oxygen. Being anaemic, or having low haemoglobin, can make you feel exhausted and frail.

Feeling weak or tired more often than usual, or with exercise

-World Health Organization estimates that 42% of children less than 5 years of age and 40% of pregnant women worldwide are anaemic.

-During pregnancy, the volume of blood in your body increases, and so does the amount of iron you need. Your body uses iron to make more blood to supply oxygen to your baby. If you don't have enough iron stores or get enough iron during pregnancy, you could develop iron deficiency anemia.

Breakfast hash made with chickpeas, chicken sausage, mushrooms, sweet potatoes, and spinach. Water to drink.

-With this 5 day meal plan there is a balnce of healthy food including fruits and vegetable along with foods with high amount of Iron liek nuts,dried fruit,

wholemeal pasta and bread. This meal plan is not only healthy but also feels sustainable and fulfilling

Whole grain pita stuffed with canned chunk light tuna and vegetables-Tomatoes and lettuce

Stir fried shrimp with rice and veggies including broccoli, red peppers, and cauliflower.

Quinoa breakfast bowl with chopped dates and sunflower seeds, and a drizzle of peanut butter.

Eggs scrambled with spinach and tomatoes; orange slices

Ground chicken, turkey or lean beef with tomato sauce and whole grain pasta
