  • Mankind's earliest story's were painted in caves.
  • Visual storytelling
  • They would show religious rituals and hunting scenes
  • Meant to be passed down
  • Made from ash, soil, early forms of paint and greens.
  • This is important because it is the first from of visual story telling.

  • Greek Mythology is fiction and tell the stories of heroes and gods.
  • Oral storytelling
  • Iconic characters: Zeus and Poseidon
  • Greek Mythology is highly creative and full of drama
  • It is important because it gives us history of past events, cultures, and relationships.

Epic of Gilgamesh

  • The Epic of Gilgamesh!
  • Story is told through stone various tablets.
  • Most of the tablets are incomplete so we do not know the whole story.
  • Passages from the text tell the story of Gilgamesh and his quest for eternal life.
  • This is important because it was the first story to every be printed!

  • Persuades people to believe in God and follow his teachings.

  • The importance of Newspapers is that they share general knowledge to the public

  • Cameras have been used to record history, tell stories, and to generate art.
  • The creation of Cameras caused a chain reaction for future storytelling devices.

  • TV shows could be used for entertainment, information, and education.

  • Video games come in a wide variety
  • Video games allows people to play through a story that someone else has created

  • Popular games from this time would be Donkey Kong and Super Mario Bros.

  • The internet allowed millions of people to connect.
  • You have the ability to access many story's from many cultures in one place.
  • Allows individuals to create story's and to be able to share them to millions of people.
  • Allows you to find others with similar interests.

Modern day

  • Virtual reality is the future of story telling.
  • VR allows people to be fully immersed in a story.
  • As the user you have a 1st person view and are the main character in a story.
  • As technology gets better so will VR.
  • Through VR you could relive important points in history.
