INTRO

DEFINITION

  • LAS is an inter-governmental organization consisting of 21 states.
  • Established in 1945 by seven countries. working under the charter of LAS
  • with the purpose of improving the coordination among the Arab countries.

The main reason of this project is to answer the main 2 questions:

  • Why working with LAS on the protection human rights is a priority?
  • how can we as activists improve the LAS's mechanism in applying and committing to the human rights standards in the light of the authoritarian regimes that govern the Arab world?

1.Dictatorship and monarchies.

2.The absence of any monitoring role for LAS and the lack of sufficient accountability criteria.

3.The way that LAS deal with its opponents.

"All forms of racism, zionism, occupation and foreign domination pose a challenge to human dignity"
