What is a Traineeship?

A Traineeship provides you with enthusiastic high school graduates who can produce results for your business from the onset whilst they ‘learn and earn’ obtaining a nationally recognised qualification, tailored specifically for your business.

80% traineeship completion

90% are offered a fulltime job

  • Most people have the impression that young people are hard to work with and too immature.
  • In fact, we’ve found that:

1. It makes good economic sense

2. Two (02) trainees for the cost of one full time admin person.

3. The trainee is getting a formal education at the same time with no extra cost to the employer.

4. ARC provides much of the support freeing up your staff for greater outcomes for your business.

2. Low risk

ARC takes care of everything (payroll, super, leave, etc.)

Does not affect headcount.

Trainees can be replaced or ended at any point.

90% of the companies offer a full-time position at the end of the traineeship BUT there is no obligation to do so.

3. Training tailored to your needs

  • Young
  • Eager to learn
  • Energetic
  • Cost effective
  • No preconceptions

"A great opportunity to strengthen and grow your business."

4. Do the right thing and employ young people

By doing all of this your organization is also helping employ the future leaders of Australia and having a proven permanent effect on the youth unemployment rate.

Meet Amy

[My name is Elysia Aslin, and I have only just recently become an ARCie. I started here at ARC on the 9/04/2017 and I was instantly welcomed with smiles and open arms. Working within the BD team is vastly different from my previous job as I had only worked at Gloria Jeans or 5 years (most of my teenage life) and although starting at ARC has been a massive change, I don’t feel I have really struggled at all, and I have my team to thank for that.

My name is Elysia Aslin, and I have only just recently become an ARCie. I started here at ARC on the 9/04/2017 and I was instantly welcomed with smiles and open arms. Working within the BD team is vastly different from my previous job as I had only worked at Gloria Jeans for 5 years (most of my teenage life) and although starting at ARC has been a massive change, I don’t feel I have really struggled at all, and I have my team to thank for that.

My roles within being a Customer Engagement Officer entail speaking with current and potential clients, taking messages and transferring calls to other teams, daily data entry, meeting with students wishing to enroll in a class, writing up quotes for clients, and answering any enquiries that customers may have.

Although this is only my 4thth week - not only at ARC, but working in any office – I already feel quite comfortable and confident within my role. I’m very grateful that my manager and team members have allowed me to learn in my own way and have put their trust and confidence in me.

My experience within ARC has been wonderful and I’m extremely excited for the future.

From Trainer

After completing Certificate I in Aged Care in 1995 I commenced work in an aged care facility as an Assistant in nursing and I was there for 7 years, I Always felt my personality and attitude could make a positive impact on people. After a few years, I decided to move on and try something new. I changed careers to Disability (No so much of a change but anyway), I started as PCA and soon after they made me a supervisor at a day service, after 2 years doing that same role I became a coordinator and 1 year after a service manager. Within my 10 years at Cerebral Palsy league I completed Cert III and IV in Disability, Cert IV in frontline management, Diploma of Business Management, and My Cert IV in TAE.

In 2014, I started to work for Ablecare (Disability Service) in Brisbane as a program manager when I received a call from a previous colleague in 2015 offering me a position as trainer with a company called LSS from where Arc training then offered me a position.

Even though I have only worked with Arc group for less than one year in my current position, I can see myself working here for many years to come. The people, mission and values make Arc one of the best if not the best company I have worked for.
