- I learned the importance of communication skills during an interaction with people in the business world and how to sell myself
- An important piece of information i learned from my interview was that jobs and processes/procedures are always evolving, so it is essential to continue to learn and adapt with the job
Mary Cate Coyle
- On my personal development plan, I aspire to expand my connections and present myself more at any given opportunity
- I plan to contribute to membership by maintaining AKPsi's values and supporting each member of the fraternity
- I learned how to communicate clearly with others in an interview setting while also presenting a good resume.
- During my informational interview I learned the importance of working harder than others and getting an early start in the field of finance
John Regan
- On my personal development plan I included my lack of networking which I plan to continue focusing on in my membership.
- I plan to contribute to membership by incorporating my diverse background and my strong analytical skills in fraternity activities.
Serah Njoroge
- From the process, I learned so much about the best ways to present yourself in interviews, as well as, how to perfect a resume.
- After completing my information interview, I got amazing insight into my intended career field and I learned so much about the daily life of an SLP and what it is like to work in a school district.
- In my personal development plan, I included stepping out of my comfort zone and learning more about business administration which I plan on focusing on in membership.
- In membership, I plan to contribute to the fraternity with outside experience in Communications, in addition to, upholding our values, being an active member and spreading the word about AKPsi to get more recruits!
Serah Njoroge
Clodagh Ryan
- I have learned the importance of first impressions and following up with people after meeting them. Also I learned how to fine tune my resume for specific interviews.
- To continue focusing on membership I want to be more willing to put myself outside my comfort zone to help form new relationships. I want to build on my knowledge of the professional world to better myself for my future career and grow as an individual.
- I will contribute to membership by upholding the values of Alpha Kappa Psi and representing the fraternity in the best way that I can. I want to be as present and involved in the chapter as much as I can.
Ethan Dixon
- I learned the necessary skills needed for providing successful feedback, constructing a presentable resume & preparing for any interview.
- My informational interview provided me with an outline on a future career path, as well as takeaways from a marketing standpoint.
- On my personal development plan, I included working on connecting more with my fellow pledges in order to foster deep relationships.
- I plan to contribute to membership by adding my studio arts background, as well as experience in graphic design, to help create merchandise, advertisements, and bolster the fraternity’s presence on campus.
Jack Gremse
- I learned tools and advice on what and what not to include in my resume and how to construct it specific to a certain job.
- I learned how to take criticism from an interview along with learning how to present myself for an interview.
- I want to focus on my personal development by putting myself out there more so that I can make relationships and connections easier.
- I will contribute by being a hardworking member of the fraternity that is eager to learn and advance my expertise in the business world.
