Now that you will soon be part of our Virtual Assistant Team, here are some of the things that you should check and prepare right before your client interviews & official first day of work.

THINGS TO DO BEFORE THE INTERVIEW

  • Confirm your availability for interview (Date, Time & Duration)
  • Confirm with your recruitment manager the preferred teleconferencing app that will be used during the interview
  • Check any resources that you can find to read or research about the client's profile or the client's business before the interview
  • Ensure your audio and/or video function for your skype, zoom or designated teleconferencing app for the interview is working
  • Ensure your microphone and camera is working
  • Always be prepared to do video call interview. Wear proper attire
  • Make sure that your environment will be free from unnecessary interefernce such as noise, or needing to attend to things at home especially during the actual interview
  • In the event of power outtage, send sms to your recruitment manager and head to the nearest internet cafe or wifi hotspot/co-working space

Ideal Attire and Online Interview Set-up

Since the interview will not be conducted in person, you will be given a little bit of leeway - meaning, you are not expected to don a full-on business attire expected with corporate interviews. However, you are still expected to be presentable in decent clothing. In the event that the situation calls for you to wear business or business casual, you will be notified beforehand.

As for your background, if you are on audio, make sure that you are in a quiet place where the sound of vehicles or animals aren’t all that audible. If the interview will be done through a video chat, be sure that the background is organised without clutter.

Possible questions to be asked

To help you prepare for your interview, we’ve collected some possible questions you might be asked. Answer this questions as truthfully and confidently as possible.

  • Can you tell me about yourself?
  • What do you know about the position and the company?
  • Why do you think I should hire you?
  • What do you enjoy doing the most in your job?
  • What are your expectations in this new position?
  • What do you like to do outside work?
  • How do you handle stress and pressure?

DURING THE INTERVIEW SCHEDULE

  • Login early to the designated teleconferencing app for the interview (at least 30 minutes early)
  • You will be invited to a group chat with our Recruitment Manager and the Client
  • Aim to answer the interview questions confidently and honestly.
  • Lastly, don't forget to show your personality - this usually means a lot to our Client(s)

Step 2: Enter your email address, create a password, and select your country of residence.

Step 3: Fill out the required personal & banking information

Step 4: Verify your account using either your Driver's License or Passport

If you’re new to Outsourcing Angel, you will find that you will be offered a part-time or full-time contract.

Of course, having more than one client, you will need some tools to manage your time efficiently. Here are some suggestions to track and manage your time:

Email

Job Acceptance Email

Think of this as a "Thank You" email to your client letting them know that you look forward to working with them. Also, take this as a chance to ask more relevant information about the company, the position and processes that you need to prepare for in advance. This will show your enthusiasm and your willingness to give your 100%.

Aside from saying "thank you", here are the other things that you can mention or include in this email, which you will send before your official first day at work:

  • Contact email of the staff who will be in charge of onboarding you in the client's team
  • Preferred messaging app by the client
  • Access to client's work tools and project management tools
  • Client work SOP documents, or document and folders that you will need to have access to do your work - if there's any

Once you begin working with your new client:

Here are some of the things that you will need to take note of so that you will be guided on how to work more effectively with your client:

  • Check who will you report to everyday for work, is it the client or one of his/her staff?
  • Your client's expectations for hiring a VA
  • Confirm your exact role and responsibilities for your client
  • Know your client's management style, personality, how s/he operates
  • Confirm thes hours that will be dedicated for the daily or weekly "catch-ups" or meeting with your client to discuss weekly priorities with you
  • Know any upcoming projects, plans, company projects, visions, goals

As a VA, you are expected to, at least, have the basic skills of a virtual assistant. This include skills such as typing, research, data entry, etc. While those are indeed necessary, it is also important to be actively seeking out new skills and experiences in using tools and software to increase your opportunities in getting hired.

Now, don’t worry if you feel like you can’t catch up on skills with the other angels. There’s no pressure but do know that your opportunities to obtain a full-time client will become greater as your skill sets and experiences increases. Outsourcing Angel encourages you to participate in the free trainings and courses offered by members with experience. Feel free to enquire if there are any available trainings for the month!

VA SALARY

SALARY

Please be advised that the fixed monthly and hourly rate that you discussed with your recruitment manager is inclusive of transfer fees

PAYROLL

PAYROLL SCHEDULE

- OA VAs are paid with their salary twice a month (fortnightly)

  • Every 15th and 1st day of the month.

- The release of OA VA bonuses, incentives, reimbursements and activity budgets are also scheduled during payroll

Our system for Angel Points is a way of appreciating our wonderful angels for doing what they love. We appreciate all efforts that our angels do to continue to upskill and pursue personal development courses/trainings. Angel Points are redeemed each month for a corresponding cash bonus.

What do you do to earn Angel Points?

To help you on your way to earn more Angel Points, here are some tips:

  • Refer your friends to join Outsourcing Angel. A successful referral hired by a client earns you Love Points.
  • Receive commendations from your clients. Screenshot and post your positive client feedback for Love Points.
  • Join VA activities. Some VA activities (i.e. VA intro video, etc.) are rewarded Love Points.
  • Continue learning new skills and tools

CLIENT UPGRADE / REFERRAL

Once your client upgrades you or hires another OA VA or refers another client to us, you will receive a $100 bonus in appreciation to the good impression that you made with your client.

This bonus does not apply to doing overtime (OT) hours or having worked more hours some select weeks within the month.

VA REFERRAL

For referring successful VA applicants who are hired by any of our clients:

$25 one-time bonus for part-time roles

$50 one time bonus for for full-time roles

REFERRALS

CLIENT UPGRADE / UPSELL

If your client decides to upgrade your service package (part-time to full-time), hire another VA, you will earn a big bonus as our appreciation of the good service and confidence that you have established with your client on behalf of Outsourcing Angel

QUARTERLY & ANNIV BONUS

Bonuses are determined based on your performance and client feedback and MANAGER'S endorsement

If you diligently work and fulfill your role in your client's business, it is possible that BEFORE your first work anniversary with us (and succeeding work anniversaries), you may have received about 150% of your monthly base salary amount by earning these quarterly performance bonuses that we have in store for you - PLUS payrise from your client/s if you did an awesome job!
