Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances

  • Threatens national security - not protected
  • Publish practically anything - can still be sued for libel if it’s false
  • Remember the word privacy is NOT in the constitution
  • Business may not use a person’s name or likeness for commercial purposes without consent

  • Make sure it’s in the contract
  • Work-for-hire provision in contract
  • Copyrights fall into contract - no set rules

  • You can post anything on Youtube & Facebook & Tik Tok
  • Copyright? - it can be taken down
