Balanced Contrast
High Contrast by Luca R.
Remember, we want balanced contrast, just as we wan balanced exposure.
However, sometimes high contrast can be expressive. Low contrast just stinks!
You have to start with a balanced exposure. Make sure you aren't using flourescent lights/hall lighting!
A cloudy day or shade gives the best results. Direct light will give you higher contrast...

Then hit the icon with four horizontal lines, and select "new action." Name it YOUR NAME BW.
Then hit "record."
Select the settings
1. 1.1. Click "Image" then "Adjustments" then "Black and White."
Click "Image" then "Adjustments" then "Brightness/Contrast."
I like to add contrast to my images.
See how it LOOKS on your image.
Now your action is ready to use!
If you want to batch process, add a save and close before stopping your recording. Then you can batch process a group of photos all at once.
Proper Saving is important!
To save:
Click on "Layers" and then "Flatten Layers."
Click "File" then "Save as" and then choose JPG and 12 quality (maximum).
Save on the desktop so you can find it easier.
When you save your image add a BW to the end of the file name (but BEFORE it says .jpg).
Your file name should look like:
"DSC_001BW.JPG
