Hello my name is Bree Mosley, I am 17 years old. I am from the Catlins near the bottom of the South Island, I go to Columba College boarding School in Dunedin. I take subject wise Accounting, English, Maths and Travel and Tourism by correspondence. I love being around people I am very chatty, bubbly, out going, I am determined to achieve all my goals at QRC and I aim to contiune to be in the industry when I graduate
I play Netball competitively, socially, I also Umpire netball I have also gained my Zone badge but most of my umpiring I do is voluntary, I am very passionate about baking and cooking it's in my roots. I really enjoy Scuba Diving, I also enjoy getting out Fishing and Hunting with my Sister and Dad.
To me hospatality has been in my roots for many years. Ever since I went to boarding school I worked in the school canteen right up to 2018 then My Dads partner owning a Cafe helped me boost my knowledge and confidence. This was when I found my place to be. I love the Hospatality Industry it's a modivating industry, its where I want to be.
Living away from home at the age of 12 years old. I knew Columba was for me leaving home at 12 was hard but it has taught me many things that will set me up for life such as living in the baoding house, living with people I have never met before who have become my sisters, When I move to QRC this means I am going to meet people I may have never ever met before but they will be my brothers and sisters forever. For me school has never been a thing I have loved but I have had to try my absolute hardest to get my dream. I have wanted to go to QRC since I was at EQRC in July I had to work so hard to get grades and all but when I am determine I will do well
Friends are my life
I believe I deserve this scholarship because it will help me achieve my goals within the hospitality industry. If I were to be successful with the Queenstown Resort College Scholarship, this would assist me financially to allow me to afford my dream education style at QRC of study, work, study within in the 21-month diploma. You could say I was born into the industry, I have worked many hours in my dad's partners café both front and back of house, I also volunteer my time at my school’s canteen where I am a sales assistant as well as assisting within the kitchen when required along with doing the opening and closing of the canteen. My roots are within this incredible industry and I cannot wait to take my current skills, challenge myself and boost my knowledge at QRC so my dream of opening my own café one day can soon become a reality!
My career goals in life are to graduate from Queenstown Resort College. Take all my knowledge and understanding out into the wide world, and hope to manage a business at first then in the future ahead to run and own my business which could either be a restaurant or cafe I am passionate about the Hospatality and tourism industry I am just edger to get to QRC
For me if I earnt this one and only scholarship, I would be so overly happy, I would do the best by representing QRC not only in the college but out in public. I would do the best I could ever do, to prove to everyone that this scholarship will help me. Not only financially but to get my ulitmate dream I have ever wanted.
