How many understand my pain?

Basically, adult learning is the learning that acquires by adults who’re 18+ years old.

Some fundamental differences between kids learning and adult learning are:

  • Child learnings are very basic oriented that aimed towards creating the foundation of a topic. But, adult learning is detail-oriented that tries to provide depth knowledge of a topic, as they already have a basic understanding. For instance, if an adult never studied, he knows what’s 7+4, but only the brilliant five-year-old kid knows that!

  • Childs studies because their parents and teacher want them to but adults have a purpose. So, adult learning contains a higher motivation level than children. But if adults have a mentor or a trainer that motivates them, then it’s better.

  • Kids get lots of home works. Their teacher creates an environment where they must study at home. A teacher even punishes kids who’re inattentive in the class. So, child learning is not selforiented. Where adult educator, mentor or trainer explains the benefits of learnings, but they don’t or can’t force. An adult can’t be punished like a child for homework. That’s somewhat awkward. So, adult learning is much more self-oriented.

You need to know some adult learning principles, whether you’re a student or a teacher. For example, adults contain:

  • And more...

There are many different learning styles. 4 of them are very common, known as the VARK model.

They are:

  • Visual Learners who learn by seeing
  • Auditory Learners who learn by listening
  • Reading and Writing learners who learn by reading and writing.
  • Kinesthetic Learners who learn by doing

We all are Harry Potter fans. At least I am. Maybe you watched the series when you were kids, but you still remember the moment that you choose Harry as a Gryffindor. There's a good chance you're a visual learner.

Imagine. Your teacher writes on the board, but you can't remember the picture of the board in

your mind. But you can remember what she said. Maybe you like to read aloud at home. So, you

can be an auditory learner.

Or maybe you're a student who loves to read, whether it's academic or fiction. Perhaps you prefer learning as reading and writing.

Imagine. Every day you attend your classes. Your chemistry teacher writes on the board, but you

can't remember the equation. But when you do it in the practical course, you find it exciting and

can reflect better. So, you can be a kinesthetic Learner.
