30-Minute Orientation
- Name common expectations of online college students
- Explain key factors that lead to online learning success
- Understand the minimum time commitment
- Locate contact information for campus staff across multiple modes of communication
- Describe common LMS elements such as discussion boards, quizzes, and assignments
- Identify student resources, peer groups, and virtual communities
Unit 1: Planning
- Discussion assignment relates to online struggles
- Students choose one of five topics:
- Use of college resources
- Making learning engaging

- Goals are shared with advisors / coaches
- Students who submit blank papers can be corrected prior to credit work
