To testify concerning Christ

Luke 24:27 And beginning from Moses and from all the prophets, He explained to them clearly in all the Scriptures the things concerning Himself.

2 Tim 3:15 And that from a babe you have known the sacred writings, which are able to make you wise unto salvation through the faith which is in Christ Jesus.And that from a babe you have known the sacred writings, which are able to make you wise unto dsalvation through the faith which is in Christ Jesus.

To make men wise unto salvation

Psa. 119:25 My soul clings to the dust;

Enliven me according to Your word.

Psa. 119:50 This is my comfort in my affliction,

For Your word has enlivened me.

Psa. 119:107 I have been greatly afflicted;

O Jehovah, aenliven me according to Your word.

Psa. 119:154 Plead my case, and redeem me;

Enliven me according to Your word.

To enliven and enlighten men

Psa. 119:105 Your word is a lamp to my feet

And a light to my path.

Psa. 119:130 The opening of Your words gives light,Imparting understanding to the simple.

To be medicine to men

Prov. 4:20-23 My son, be attentive to my words;

Incline your ear to my sayings.

Do not let them depart from your sight;

Keep them in the midst of your heart.

For they are life to those who find them,

And healing to all their flesh.

1 Pet. 2:3 If you have tasted that the Lord is good.

To bring a taste of the Lord's goodness and sweetness to men

Psa. 119:103 How sweet are Your words to my taste!Sweeter than honey to my mouth!

1 Pet. 1:23 Having been regenerated not of corruptible seed but of incorruptible, through the living and abiding word of God.

To cause men to be regenerated

James 1:18 He brought us forth by the word of truth, purposing that we might be a kind of firstfruits of His creatures.

Luke 8:11 Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God.

To be a seed causing the believers to become the reproduction of God

1 Pet. 1:23 Having been regenerated not of corruptible seed but of incorruptible, through the living and abiding word of God.

1 Pet. 2:2 As newborn babes, long for the guileless milk of the word in order that by it you may grow unto salvation,

1 Cor. 3:2a I gave you milk to drink

To nourish the believers

Job 23:12b I have treasured the words of His mouth more than my apportioned food.

Heb 5:13-14 For everyone who partakes of milk is inexperienced in the word of righteousness, for he is an infant; But solid food is for the full-grown, who because of practice have their faculties exercised for discriminating between both good and evil.

Isa. 55:10-11 For just as the rain comes down and the snow from heaven, and does not return there, until it waters the earth and makes it bear and sprout forth, that it may give seed to the sower and bread to the eater;

So will My word be which goes forth from My mouth; it will not return to Me vainly, But it will accomplish what I delight in, And it will prosper in the matter to which I have sent it.

To be a rain and snow to water the believers for God's purpose

Jer. 23:28-29 The prophet who has a dream, let him tell the dream; and he with whom is My word, let him speak My word faithfully. What is the straw to the grain? declares Jehovah.

Is not My word thus — like fire, declares Jehovah, and like a hammer that breaks the rock in pieces?

To be grain, a fire, and a hammer to the believers

Heb. 4:12 For the word of God is living and operative and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing even to the dividing of soul and spirit and of joints and marrow, and able to discern the thoughts and intentions of the heart.

To operate within the believers to divide the soul and spirit and to discern the thoughts and intents of the hearts

Psa. 105:19 Until the time when his word came to pass,The word of Jehovah tried him.

Rom. 15:4 For the things that were written previously were written for our instruction, in order that through endurance and through the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope.

To try the believers and yet give them hope

Psa. 119:114b In Your word do I hope.

147 I anticipated the dawn and cried out;

I hoped in Your words.

To give the believers endurance and encouragement

Rev. 3:10 Because you have kept the word of My endurance, I also will keep you out of the hour of trial, which is about to come on the whole inhabited earth, to try them who dwell on the earth.

To become the joy and rejoicing of the believers' hearts

Eph. 5:26 That He might sanctify her, cleansing her by the washing of the water in the word,

To wash the believers metabolically

1 Cor. 1:18 For the word of the cross is to those who are perishing foolishness, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.

To be the cross terminating the believers up

Acts 20:32 And now I commit you to God and to the word of His grace, which is able to build you up and to give you the inheritance among all those who have been sanctified.

To be the grace building the believers up

John 17:17 Sanctify them in the truth; Your word is truth.

To sanctify the believers

2 Tim. 3:16 - 17 All Scripture is God-breathed and profitable for teaching, for conviction, for correction, for instruction in righteousness,

That the man of God may be complete, fully equipped for every good work.

To make the believers complete

Eph. 6:17 And receive the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which Spirit is the word of God,

To be a sword slaying God's enemy
