Initial Topic

1. After researching parts of the initial topics, I learned I was not drawn to any of them.

2. After much searching about what to do my project on, I learned it all had to do with time and changes and that was interesting.

Connection

1. I chose to do a timeline on some of the keys events that happened through out history. Some I chose because it related to me in a manner. Some I chose because I did not know the fact and it interested me.

2. Through out time everything evolves, that brings changes. Some slowly, some more quickly than we could keep up with. It showed me how much has happened in the last the half century and how much I missed or did not care about. A lot of what I learned through this project connects to the my first because it references time.

Relevance

1. I learned I can not keep up with everything that is happening in the world and really don't wish to. The things that attracted my attention the most made me feel sad for this life we live.

2.Another relevant connection is the opposite of my first comment. People are amazing. Through out time there are so many people that give; give life, give emotion, give strength, with selfless and courageous regard for humanity.

Changes through the years

"The End" to the longest story ever told

2000-02-22 04:00:00 PDT SANTA ROSA -- No one brought a security blanket big enough to comfort some 3,000 mourners who flocked to yesterday's memorial service for cartoonist Charles Schulz.

First published in 1947 under the name Li’l Folks, the strip, renamed Peanuts in 1950, featured a cast of children led by Charlie Brown, Schulz’s alter ego in the strip. On the surface, Peanuts did not differ radically from other newspaper comics of its era: the four-panel daily strips featured a simple, almost spare, artistic style and routinely concluded with a joke of some kind, often at Charlie Brown’s expense. The strength of Peanuts lay in the depth of its characters and in Schulz’s ability to connect with his readers through them.

Charles Schulz introduced Snoopy as the World War I Flying Ace in 1965, and over the decades the Flying Ace has become one of Snoopy’s most recognizable personas. This traveling exhibition from the Charles M. Schulz Museum and Research Center, titled Snoopy and the Red Baron, tells the full story of the charismatic and beloved character, from the origin of the story line, to how Schulz researched all aspects of World War I to bring authenticity to the strips.

COVID-19

"Our rough guess is that come June, at least 95% of the U.S. will still be susceptible," says IHME's Murray. "That means, of course, it can come right back. And so then we really need to have a robust strategy in place to not have a second wave."

2020

Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) is an infectious disease caused by a new virus.

According to the World Health Organization, COVID-19 is the infectious disease caused by the most recently discovered coronavirus. This new virus and disease were unknown before the outbreak began in Wuhan, China, in December 2019.

The disease causes respiratory illness (like the flu) with symptoms such as a cough, fever, and in more severe cases, difficulty breathing. You can protect yourself by washing your hands frequently, avoiding touching your face, and avoiding close contact (1 meter or 3 feet) with people who are unwell.

Coronavirus disease spreads primarily through contact with an infected person when they cough or sneeze. It also spreads when a person touches a surface or object that has the virus on it, then touches their eyes, nose, or mouth.

HOW IT SPREADS

Look towards tomorrow

The outbreak of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is stressful for everyone. Fear and anxiety about a disease can be overwhelming and cause strong emotions in all of us. Coping with stress will make you, the people you care about, and your community stronger. We will move on from this pandemic and hopefully learn and do better in days to come.
