The Praying Indians of Natick
Before we lived here there was a group of Native Americans called the Praying Indians. The Praying Indians were a group of people who agreed to live like English settelers so they could stay on their land. The Praying Indians were allowed to live on their land as long as they lived like the white people and went to church. Allthough the Praying Indians never broke their agreement, they were forced out of their land with not enough food or supplies to pretty much die on deer island in 1675. It is important to remember the Praying Indians because they were the first people here. We should remember them because it is important to acknowledge our history.
