Duration is 3 to 4 minutes
In this part you will be given a card ( cue card ) with a
topic You will be given one-minute to think over the topic
and write some notes/ or points for your convenience
After completion of one-minute notes making, you will
need to speak on the topic for one to two minutes
Note: only you will be speaking and examiner will
only be listening carefully
Describe an interesting historic place.
You Should Say:
What it is?
Where it is located?
What you can see there now?
When you receive the topic, read the topic and sub-topics carefully even though you have prepared it before during your preparation
Remember you have only one minute to think or for making notes be very conscious
Decide quickly that what you are going to talk
Write Down Notes According to the Sequence of the Questions on the Card
While Practicing set Your Timer to Speak for more than a minute
Enhance your drills to look at the topic, read from your notes and speak all the points at the same time ( Speak continuously do not read from the notes )
Most Importantly You need to speak on all the sub-topics Given on the card
Give equal amount of time to all four points
USE of Body Language and Maintaining Eye contact with the Examiner is very necessary part of your Speaking test overall

How do people in your country feel about protecting historic buildings?
Do you think an area can benefit from having an interesting historic place locally? In what way?
What do you think weill happen to historic places or buildings in the future? Why?
How were you taught history when you were at school?
Are there other ways people can learn about history, apart from at school? How?

Always give full answers do not give short answers if the topic questions do not relate you then pretend the answers but
should look natural and real
Speak clearly and not to worry about your accent
because in IELTS accent doesn’t matter but
pronunciation does matter
Difference between Pronunciation and Accent
Pronunciation is more educational
Such as:
C-O-M-P-U-T-E-R-S Pronounced as C-O-M-P-T-E-R-Z

And accent such as People speak English in their mother tongue accent
Use Descriptive and exciting words and expressions
Focus on Intonation: such as rise and fall of your accent or rhythm
Don’t use slang language
Don’t use Jargons

language Avoid Your Native words or language even if
you speak , you need to explain them then
Practice Your Speaking Test with an IELTS Trainer or
friend who is fluent and use timer
