- T5K study - CUNY - longitudinal - mostly cisgender but 50% POC
- 1/3 of new seroconversions were in persistent meth using folks
- anytime meth using folks 4x more likely to seroconvert
- persistently using folks 7x more likely to seroconvert
- About 14% folks reported meth use in last 12 months
- Out of these folks, 75% came to use persistently at 12 month f/u

- buproprion - stimulant-"like"
- mirtazapine - antidepressant, helps withdrawal
- naltrexone - may help with cravings
- topiramate - may help combat cravings and increase relaxed state
- modafinil - helps with side effects of meth use, withdrawal
