Eddie's Story

Today's Story

Eddie dies and goes to heaven when he was killed in an amusement park accident while working as a mechanic at Ruby Pier. He proceeds to meet five people whom he impacted some way or another on Earth, and they each teach him a separate, yet important lesson. The reason he is being taught these lessons is to bring him to understand that his life had meaning. Today we are going to share his story and the people he meet and the lessons he is learning.

Blue Man

Person #1

The Blue Man is the first person Eddie meets on his journey throughout heaven. The Blue Man is someone who used to work at the Pier Eddie worked at, but when Eddie was much younger, so they never really meet. However unknowingly Eddie killed him when he was younger chasing a ball where the Blue Man swerved out of the way to avoid hitting him and had a heart attack. Even though this leaves Eddie feeling upset, the Blue Man assures Eddie that he didn't tell him this to receive an apology or make him feel pity. Rather the purpose of telling him this was to teach him that even in this big world, everything is tied to each other in one way or another. Eddie learns that he isn't ever alone because someone is always connected to him in some way. Meeting the Blue Man is a remarkable story and we will feature a photo of him in the next slide.

Eddie's War Captain

Person #2

Next person for Eddie's story is his war captain from which he learned that sometimes you need to have sacrifices and that's okay to do. When Eddie and the Captain were on Earth before their passing, Eddie was in a burning building when he saw a shadow figure and immediately thought it was a kid he needed to save. The only way to save Eddie from getting burnt by the flames is by the Captain shooting Eddie's leg, because the pain was the only way to distract his mind from staying inside the building. Eddie is taught that the sacrifice the Captain took of shooting his legs, ultimately saved his life or else or would've stayed in that burning building. We see that this is the second lesson Eddie learns but not the last, stay in turn for more people Eddie meets.

Ruby

Person #3

Ruby is someone in Eddie's life that he never formally met, however plays a huge role because she is the reason the Ruby Pier was built (Eddie's workplace). Ruby and her sprouse decide they want to stay forever young so he promises to build her an amusement park. She teaches Eddie that people you have never met still affects your life, in this example effected Eddie's career by allowing him to be a mechanic in the future at the Ruby Pier. As well as during their interaction in heaven Ruby explains to Eddie the reason why his father is an alcoholic, and Eddie learns that if you hold on to your anger for too long it can have negative effects. He then goes to make amends with his father, next we will see how Eddie's love life effects him and the person he fell head over heels for since the age of 17.

Marguerite

Person #4

The fourth person Eddie meets is Marguerite the love of Eddies life since he was 17 years old. They got married, tried to adopt children, but that quickly got ruined when Marguerite got into a car accident and older age got ahead of them. Unfortunately Eddie lost Marguerite very young when she was 47 and died from cancer in the hospital. This left him with such an empty void that he begin to grow anger that she was gone all to soon when he still had plenty of life ahead of him. During their interaction in heaven Eddie is taught from Marguerite that despite her dying there love for one another will always carry. What a truly meaningful person in Eddie's life Marguerite was, and this truly capture the power of life. We are just down to our final person Eddie has to meet and this will shock you!

Tala

Tala

Person #5

On our last person today we have Tala, a young girl who was burned in a fire and in turn Eddie unknowingly killed as him and his troops were leaving the fort. Eddie is immediately saddened from this information but Tala assures him that his life has purpose and other she died he played a crucial role at the Ruby Pier. That in which was maintaining and making sure Ruby Pier was safe for other children. When Eddie passed he was trying to save a girl from a free falling car at Ruby Pier and Eddie is assured that he successfully did so and Tala was there to pull him into heaven. This news story about the 5 people Eddie met in heaven is a heartfelt and emotional one, however truly helps us see the impact individuals have on one another and the life lessons they're teaching us.
