Informed consent:

- The consent procedure must be legitimate.

- The consent is valid until the end of the specified medical procedure.

Informed consent to treatment can be defined as Informed consent to treatment means that person agreed to a medical procedure or health care intervention after receiving a clear information about the treatment including at risks , benefits, and alternatives and understanding the information before making voluntary decision

Saudi Guidelines for Informed Consent was launched in 2019 in cooperation with the Ministry of Health and the Saudi Patient Safety Center.
