An equity scan should be used when a policy, program, project, or action has already been reviewed with a formal equity analysis process, and the results from the respective formal equity analysis process were integrated.
Adapt the process and questions to reflect the situation. The tools are not a set template for all areas.
1.Identify Individuals and Populations most likely to be impacted by what is being proposed.
2. Conduct the analysis in the way that works best for the policy being analyzed and for those impacted.
3. Create accountability by sharing analysis with Equity Director(s), Equity Committees, and individuals or groups that are disproportionately impacted.
