1989- Joaquin Guzman, the leader of the Sinoala Cartel, approached the Felix brothers (leaders of Tijuana) with an offer of a drug trade. The brother's denied the offer becasue they felt "El Chapo" (Guzman's nickname) was too ametuer for a drug trade.
El Chapo became angy, and to retaliate he traficked drugs through Tijuana's territory, without the brothers being aware. The Brother's ended up getting their revenge by killing Guzman's envoy, Rayo Lopez. This started a war between the two cartels.
Guzman became angry when he found out that the Felix brothers killed his ally. "El Chapo" decided to seek avenge, by getting his hitmen to kill the felix Brothers. Luckily for the Felix brothers their bullet proof windows saved them from getting shot that night.
Guzman convinced Ismael Zambada Garcia to join his side of the war. The Tijuana Cartel found out about Guzman's attempt to kill the Felix brothers, and they retaliated by trying to bomb Guzaman's car.
An Imprisoned Trafficker was sent to make Peace between the two Cartels, and stop this war from going any further. Peace was then made between the two Cartels. The Felix brothers however, were quick to betray the Sinaloa Cartel by having one of their associates, behead one of the Sinaloa Cartel members' wife.
On this date, multiple Sinaloa Cartel hitmen dressed as police men, and massacred a hand full of Tijuana cartel members, and clubers at the Christine Nightclub. The night club was where one of the Felix brothers was having his birthday party.

On this date, Guzman escaped from his maximum- high security prison. Guzman then proposed the idea to start another drug war with other cartels, to fight against the Felix brothers again. His idea was quickly shut down when all of the cartel's refused. The other cartel's then made a promise with Guzman, that if he succeeded in killing the brother's, they would join the federation. Guzman later decided to make a deal with a certain politician, who told Guzman that he would help him destroy the brothers, if one of them got to live.
Ramon Arellano Felix took a trip to Mazatlan, he was then told that the Sinaloa Cartel co-leader, who is Ismael Zambada Garcia. There Garcia was attending a carnival with two of his bodyguards. Ramon Felix decided to bring only one of his henchmen as advised, that way he wouldn't draw anymore attention to the Cartel.
Ramon Felix then met up with one of his contacts named, Carlos Tirado Lizzaraga. Carlos had secretly lured Felix and his henchman into a trap that Guzman had planned. Guzman had threatened Tirado with kidnapping his sister, if he refused to betray his boss.
Guzman decided that it was time to kill Benjamin Arellano Felix, who was co-leader of the Tijuana Cartel with his late brother Ramon. Guzman bribed the leader of the Special Forces in exchange to be able to track down Benjamin. The bribe involved using him to hunt down multiple cartel bosses, in exchange for 30,000 dollars a month.
Guzman and Zambada started to observe Arellana and his henchman from the rooftop. Tirado then, as planned, created a distraction for the two by calling out Ramon's name. When Ramon and his henchman turned around to see who it was, they were shot in the back of the head multiple times with a hand gun.
