The purpose of this activity is to commit 59 minutes reaching out to customers about supporting your Fall Fundraiser Program.

Plan out your event
Think about how you want to set up your event. Do you want to reach out to customers one at a time or do you want to host a virtual event and present information to your customers as a group?

Reaching out to your customers one at a time is a great way to show your customers you value them and want to provide product and delivery service that best fits their wants and needs.

Hosting a virtual event is a great way to reach out to several customers at once. It also allows you to go into great detail about why customers should consider supporting your Fall Fundraiser Program.

Once you have decided what kind of event you will be doing for 59 minutes, it's time to get prepared.

Before your event:

- Download and print the Contact List and Sample Script
- Practice what you will say with a friend or family member before beginning
Group Event
- Create a virtual event using a platform you are most comfortable with (Facebook Live, Zoom, etc.)
- Promote the event to friends and family at least a few days prior to the event

During the Event
Now that you have planned and prepared for your event, it's time to start the clock and connect with your customers.
Remember the core values of being a Girl Scout when engaging with your customers.

After the Event
Now that your event is over make sure you:
- Follow up with your customers in a timely manner if needed.
- Send a thank you note (physical or digital) to everyone you contacted/attended your event, even if they did not make a purchase.
- At the end of the Fall Fundraiser Program, follow up with your customers again to let them know how close you got to your goal, thank them again for supporting you and let them know that you would love to reconnect with them in January when you begin selling cookies!
