Hades: God of Death

“Me, the God of Death, had ruled all over earth and protected those who suffer from the bad.”

“I had forced a woman named Persephone to marry me, years later, we were living happily ever after.”

“How did I become the God of Death? I respected Zeus like a proper older brother, he gave me the option to choose the Underworld as my dominion."

Who is Hades?

Mount Olympus, Underworld

That is where he lived.

Hades, in ancient Greek religion, God of Underworld. He was the son of the Titans Cronus and Rhea, and brother of the deities Zeus.

Life events

Hades is better

  • Usually represented as a vigorous bearded man.

  • His symbols are the scepter and horn of plenty.

  • He's also often depicted with the three-headed dog, Cerberus.
  • Hades was inclined in mythology.

  • He tried to cheat death or otherwise crossed him.

  • Hades was only depicted outside of the underworld once in myth, and even that is believed to have been an instance where he had just left the gates of the underworld, which was when Heracles shot him with an arrow as Hades was attempting to defend the city of Pylos.

Parents: Cronus and Rhea. | Siblings: Poseidon, Demeter, Hestia, Hera and Zeus. | Children: Macaria and Erinyes.

In Ancient Greek and Roman, I kidnapped Persephone against her will, and forcibly made her my wife. Persephone was very unhappy at first, but after much time together, she came to me blooded and lived happily after with me.
