LIFE LESSONS FROM KOBE BRYANT

02/02/2020

LESSON #1

Matthew 25:14-30

LESSON #2

“The man with two bags of gold also came. ‘Master,’ he said,

‘you entrusted me with two bags of gold; see, I have gained

two more.’

“His master replied, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You

have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness!’

“Then the man who had received one bag of gold came. ‘Master,’

he said, ‘I knew that you are a hard man, harvesting where you have not sown and gathering where you have not scattered seed. So I was afraid and went out and hid your gold in the ground.

See, here is what belongs to you.’

“His master replied, ‘You wicked, lazy servant! So you knew that

I harvest where I have not sown and gather where I have not scattered seed? Well then, you should have put my money

on deposit with the bankers, so that when I returned I

would have received it back with interest.

"I want to be remembered as a player that didn't waste a moment. I didn't waste a day, and I felt extremely blessed by the God-given talent. At the same time, I didn't take it for granted. If I could be remembered as a person that was born with a lot of talent but did everything he could to try to overachieve and lived everyday as if he was the twelfth guy on the bench.

Matthew 13:44

"The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field. When a man found it, he hid it again, and then in his joy went and sold all he had and bought that field."

LESSON #3

“I have friends. But being a “great friend” is something I will never be. I can be a good friend. But not a great friend. ‘A great friend will call you every day and remember your birthday. I’ll get so wrapped up in my [stuff], I’ll never remember that stuff. And the people who are my friends understand this, and they’re usually the same way.”

LESSON #4

“The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few.”

- Luke 10:2

“Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, "Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?" And I said, "Here am I. Send me!"

- Isaiah 6:8

1 Corinthians 10:31

So whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.
