What is ASCII ?

ASCII- Binary

ASCII stands for American Standard Code for Information Interchange. A coded individual set along with 128 7-bit characters. An ASCII record is a binary record that stores ASCII codes. There are 128 different ASCII codes; because of this most effective 7 bits are had to constitute an ASCII individual.

How To Write in ASCII?

the letter "l" has a decimal value of 108, to get that we need 64 and 32 meaning that is "1 1.."which will be 96, but if we add 16 to 96 it will be 112 which is more then what we want so we will put a 0 because we don't need 16 so till now it would be " 1 1 0..." we need a 8 which will make 96+8=104 so we will put a 1 making it " 1 1 0 1.." and now all we need 4 to make it 108 so we will put a 1 on 4 and we don't need the 2 and 1 so we will put a 0 on them making it " 1 1 0 1 1 0 0 "

How To Do It?

We need 2 to the power of 3 so we put a 1. We do not need 2 to the power of 2 so we put a 0. And next we need 2 to the power of 1 so we put a 1. And lastly, we do not need 2 to the power of 0 so we put a 0. 2 to the power of 3 is equal to 8 and 2 to the power of 1 is equal to 2, 8+2= 10 so “1010” is “10”.

This system only uses "0" and "1" and each binary number is expressed in the base-2 numeral system or binary numeral system. The base-2 numeral system is a positional notation with a radix of 2. And each digit is called a "bit".

64+8+2+1 is equal to 75, meaning we need 64,8,2 and 1 to make 75. So, we put a 1 in their places. We do not need 128, 32, 16, and 4 so we put a 0 in their places, leaving us with “1001011” meaning “1001011” is “75”.

The octal numeral system,also known as "oct" is a base-8 number system. The digits of this system are 0-7. Octal numerals can be made from binary numerals by grouping consecutive binary digits into groups of three.

For example, the binary representation for decimal 74 is 1001010.
