Profile of Sun Tzu

Why Sun Tzu should get a museum exibit

IntroductoryStatement

Legendary military tactician Sun Tzu changed the way that war and warfare are conducted today. Sun Tzu is a man about whom nothing is known with certainty, but he is best known for his work The Art of War, which serves as a manual for winning wars and conflicts. Modern Chinese strategy is heavily influenced by Sun Tzu, who downplays civilian control in favour of a general's on-the-ground judgements and pushes "initiative." As a result, the Chinese Air Force is inclined to take this initiative through offensive operations, raising the possibility that Beijing will develop a preemptive strategy despite claims that the national defence policy is "purely defensive in nature." Beijing must be attacked with Sun Tzu to counter Chinese strategy. For instance, the general entrenched moral influence to align the populace with the goals of their leaders. An exposé of the leaders' true lives in contrast to the myth and other inconsistencies between public posturing and private reality can damage it. Although Sun Tzu was writing 2,500 years ago during an agrarian era, his ideas still hold true in the modern industrial and informational eras. China is Japan's top strategic worry when it comes to security, and we cannot examine Chinese strategy without first referencing Sun Tzu!
