Below are two product designs for an Extraordinaire.

1. For which Extraordinarie is each design intended? And what is the design project for each?

2. Which do you feel is the stronger design? What makes it stronger?

3. Which design looks as though it better meets the needs of the user? Why?

Essential Question: Why do we go for quantity over quality in the Ideation phase?

  • No throwing objects.

Design Thinking

Extraordinaires Design Project: Round 1 (20 min)

  • Step 1: Grab your Character and Project Card.
  • Step 2: Pick a Think Card.
  • Step 3: Ideate with your group members. Remember to:
  • Use the observations you made yesterday to brainstorm solutions that meet the needs of your character.
  • Step 4: Answer the prompts to the Think Card on the back of your design sheet.
  • Step 5: Sketch and describe your design.
  • I will come around and ask questions as you work.
  • I will take pictures of your design and upload it to The Extraordinaires website so that we can become a part of their community.
