Your project this term will be on an explorer (of your choice) who encountered Australia and the longer term events and impacts of that encounter.
You will need to:
* create a timeline
* use and explain primary resources
* describe and explain the impacts of this encounter on Aboriginal Australians and their way of life

Why did the great journeys of exploration occur?
We will look at early explorers such as Vasco da Gama, Columbus, Magellan, Zheng He, Torres, Jansz, Tasman, Captain Cook and La Perouse to understand why these journeys may have taken place.
