Background of Author

Jackie French is an award-winning Australian author. Such a wonderful author who writes non- fiction and fiction books for both adults and children. She has such a wonderful imagination with big and bright ideas. Born on the 29th November 1953. Jackie’s career spans 20 years, 148 wombats, over 140 books, 36 languages, over 60 awards in Australia and overseas.

We have learnt that Jackie French is a well know author and has written many high selling books.

Her first book was Angus and Roberston. The pharaoh was first published in Australia 2007. Jackie French writes books for children and adults. Jackie French has won many awards such as an honour book CBC younger readers award .

We think that this book is about a boy who is on a journey to discover the land of Egypt. He is going on this journey through the Middle East to find out who took his father. During this journey the young boy discover many new things. As he has found his father he is in a battle with the mysteries creatures who stole his father. As his father is rescued the father puts him as king.
