MISSION
To be a center of excellence for marine science research in Northern Mindanao, Philippines dedicated to the sustainable development of the coastal community and the environment
GOALS
- Provide socially significant programs and activities benefitting the local community and the immediate environment;
- Conduct management and conservation activities in the coastal areas in the region addressing contemporary problems and issues on the marine environment & related ecosystems
- Build-up the capability of the community through participatory activities involving the locals and the different multi-stakeholders
- Provide competent and dedicated research staff engaged in excellent research and;
- Aid academic units in forming competent and skillful students conscientious to the needs of the community and the environment

To bring together all different stakeholders in the maritime corridor to come up with an integrated coastal management plan for the entire corridor using the data gathered from the corollary baseline profiling.

The XU Marine Station /Activity Center is a property of Xavier University-Ateneo de Cagayan, managed by the McKeough Marine Center
