What is DNA?

DNA

DNA is a molecular blueprint for all living things. It what makes you, you! It is a spiral shaped ladder made of lots of atoms and molecules. DNA tells special chemicals in our our body called amino acids to line up. Amino acids are known as the building blocks of life. One type of amino acid is a " Glutamic Acid ". When the amino acids are lined up and put together like lego's, and are made at the right time and place, the protein will come out just fine

What is a protein?

Proteins are amino acids joined together. These proteins are helpful. There is a chain. Amino acids make proteins, proteins make living cells, cells make up tissues, tissues make up organs, and organs if functioning and ready they can make up a person like you and me!

Amino acids codes

Amino acids have 4 different codes that are repeated in DNA. They are A, T, C,and G. And remember that the DNA is in the nucleus.

RNA

Ribosomes

What is RNA?

In the nucleus is a special chemical that copies the DNA. The difference between DNA and RNA is that DNA has 2 side of codes and is longer. RNA is smaller and is missing one it's sides. This way, the RNA is able to leave the nucleus and into the cytoplasm.

When the RNA leaves the nucleus, it goes to a special factory called ribosomes which read the RNA code 3 letters at a time and gets the amino acid needed to put next. The ribosomes are protein building machines so the protein can make cells.

See you round!

This is all for today and everyone have a great day of learning!!

Parts of a Cell

Even more parts!

That"s not all. Organelles are bodies among the the cytoplasm that have different jobs. And lastly we have the golgi layers that's wraps up the cell's products so they can be later sent to where they need to be.

More parts

There are parts called the lysosomes which recycle unwanted parts and uses them in the cell. The cells membrane is the layer around the cell that protects whats inside. Ribosomes are ball shaped factories that make useful substances or products. The mitochondria changes food into energy.

What are the parts of a cell?

There are different parts of a cell. the main control of a cell is the nucleus. Around the cell is the nucleus is the cytoplasm. The cytoplasm is where all the amino acids live.
