FINLAY
- He suggest yellow fever was transmitted by mosquitoes
- In 1900 his theory was confirmed and American surgeon, Walter Reed and Finley let eventual control of yellow fever around the world
- Made important contribution toward the understanding of infant tetanus
- Important contribution toward the understanding of cholera
- 1888 when the Spanish war broke out , he offered his services to the United States Government

- 1865 he married Adeal Shine from the island of Trinidad, in Cuba
- Had 3 sons
- Sons name's were Frank, George, Charles
- He then died in 1915
- He died at age 82
- In 1846 he had left school in France because he suffered from an attack of chorea
- Had extensive therapy at his father's medical institute
- In 1850 his studies were interrupted again by typhoid fever
- 1844 he was sent to La Harvre, France for his formal education
- He left then returned in 1848 intending to complete his education in France
- Attempted to enroll in the medical training program in the University of Havana, Didn't get in
- He got his Medical Degree on March 10, 1855
