Rising Action Continued
Teddy's Mother and Father are very pleased that Rikki-Tikki-Tavi saved Teddy's life,however Nag and Nagaina are very upset that he killed their friend. Shortly after killing Kurait Rikki-Tikki-Tavi meets Chuchundra,a friendly muskrat. Chuchundra tells Rikki-Tikki-Tavi that Nag and Nagaina are trying to get into the bathroom sluice,so he races into the bathroom to stop them. When he enters the bathroom he hears Nag and Nagaina's plan to kill Teddy and his family. As soon as Nag enters the bathroom Rikki-Tikki-Tavi attacks Nag and kills him just before Teddy's father races in with a gun and shoots Nag twice. The news of Nag's death spreads around the Garden and Nagaina is out for revenge. Nagaina decides that because Rikki-Tikki-Tavi killed her husband she would kill his family. So she attempts to kill Teddy and his parents but Rikki-Tikki-Tavi stops her by killing all of her eggs except one,he uses this as bait to get Nagaina away from Teddy and his parents.

Nagaina is outraged that Rikki-Tikki-Tavi has her egg and tries to get it back. When Rikki-Tikki-Tavia and Nagaina are fighting She gets her egg back and takes it into her burrow,but Rikki-Tikki-Tavi follows her and kills her.
The news of Nag and Nagaina's death spreads throughout the garden and the Garden animals celebrate.
Shortly after arriving at Teddy's house Rikki-Tikki-Tavi decides to go explore his new home. When he goes outside in the garden he meets Darzee and his wife, who are weeping because one of their chldren was eaten by Nag and Nagaina. After meeting Darzee and his wife Rikki-Tikki-Tavi meets the infamous Nag and Nagaina. Nagaina tries to strike at Rikki-Tikki-Tavi, but he is a mongoose, so he is able to quickly maneuver out of the way. Teddy comes running into the garden and praises Rikki-Tikki-Tavi for fighting the sankes,but when Teddy is in the garden he almost steps on a very tiny but very deadly snake. Rikki-Tikki-Tavi jumps onto the snakes back before he is able to bite Teddy.

A summer flood washes Rikki-Tikki-Tavi out of his burrow where he and his family live. When Rikki-Tikki-Tavi wakes up after being washed away he meets Teddy and his family. Teddy and his parents decide to take Rikki-Tikki-Tavi into their home.
