Mule deer, coyotes, and prairie dogs
Transition Zone: 7,000-9,000 ft

Mountain lions, bears, and elk live here.
Canadian: 8,500-11,500 ft.

Narrow zone at the timber line.
Summer = grazing lands
Siberian juniper trees & mountain sheep live here
Arctic-Alpine: Above 12,500 ft
Smallest zone: Above the tree line
Hardy grasses and flowers grow here in summer
Mountain sheep & Bighorn sheep visit here in summer
