How did rap change the american society?

Background info

rapping first gained popularity in the U.S in the 1970's as street art. once they did numerous rap acts rap music audience began to swell. In 1900 rap matured from an old school style to a new school style.

Negative influence

80 percent of the rap music is currently the top ten list around the world that contains violence. 66% of 13 to 17 year old's believe violence in music is partly responsible for violent crimes

Changed since 1900's

Perhaps the most striking difference between 1900's hip-hop & more modern tracks is the lyrics. Diversity actually increased in the '80s and '90s as hip-hop emerged and flourished.

the negative influence about rap music is that it has discrimination.Has violence. It talks about drugs and alcohol. let kid think its okay to say bad words.

Rapers express their feelings and deal with a hard time and write what they feel.they also become famous for rap. Some rap music conveys good messages to children. Our brains learn more with repetition and that's why we learn rap music faster. kids can do that for education and repeat to help learn faster
