Atychiphobia-The fear of failure

What are phobia's?

Phobia's are an exaggerated; usually illogical fear such as of heights, animals, the dark, etc. that causes much anxiety.

How can Atychiphobia be treated?

Atychiphobia can be treated through a procedure. You can sit down with your therapist and create a list of scenarios that involve failure each more intense than the previous. Then you can move to exposure. You can start to face these fears through little steps in physical action. Little by little you can start to make this fear go away by controlling your level of anxiety when facing fear.

How common is this fear?

Atychiphobia is actually a pretty common fear. According to all women stalk, atychiphobia is number 6 out of 8 on the most common fears.

Atychiphobia is the fear of failure. The fear of failure seems to be something everyone is afraid of. However, the difference between being afraid and a phobia is that a phobia is an exaggerated version of a fear.
