- They land that they were after includes: Asia, large chunks of Africa, and India.
- The key points for these countries were drugs, beef, and bullets.
- Also trying to increase belief in one race over another.

- Both also had Great Britain in a high power, and competing for resources in some form or fashion.
- Asian involvement fits into both categories, along with the spreading of Western cultures and adapting them.

- The explorations started with the Spanish and the Portuguese looking for Gold, Glory, and God.
- Exploration occurrences were in the Americas, India, Asia, and coastal Africa.
- The purpose was in trying to increase slave trade, gain land, and increase other trade markets.
