- A model based on TGFU principles or “Tactical” approach
- It is teaching or coaching that uses games to develop tactical/strategic thinking
- Modified games are used to exaggerate the situation, and highlight the decisions that need to be made in a game.
- Choose a game that will challenge your learners to think about the tactics or strategies you would like them to focus on.
- Consider what technique you will use to make it relevant to your sport.
- Consider how you can modify the game to further challenge your learners ie decrease space, add a time limit, adapting rules.
- Design some questions that are appropriate for your sport and get learners thinking about the intended strategy or tactic.
