To help families succeed.

To help children reach their best potential holistically.
- Know about organizational procedures/legal frameworks, as well as appropriate referral routes within your own organization and other agencies.
- In some family situations you may need to be more proactive about involving services. I.e. some parents/carers have not accepted help but continue to experience problems.
- Multi-agency working to support the child and family holistically.
- Communicate effectively, providing appropriate succinct information to enable practitioners to deliver support to those who require it.
- Record/summarize and share information where appropriate to the designated person.
To ensure children are given the best care possible.
To resolve problems sooner rather than later.

Parents' aspire to do the best that they can for their children, even in adverse circumstances, and we as professionals should support parents to do this.
