The 7 Stages of Wellness

The overall wellness of ones self bases off of physical components as well as the mental components.
The specific components of wellness include: Spiritual, Environmental, Social, Career, Emotional and Intellectual
Spiritual
Physical
Revolves around the strength of your belief of faith. Faith sets morals and principles that humans follow in order to become close with the father. Just because you have faith does not mean you are catholic, faith is in all religions all around our world.
The means of Physical wellness is to maintain a healthy lifestyle through exercise and healthy eating. Maintaining these elements can create happiness as well as overall wellness.
I believe that prayer is a very important part of life. Staying close to my faith is a priority, especially during a time of crisis.
I try to remain as active as i possibly can during a time like this. Going on jogs and eating as healthy as I possibly can.
Emotional
Emotional wellness bases off of the overall mental well being of ones self. This can be factored by elements such as stress intake, relaxation and self-care. The stronger you are mentally, the better your emotional wellness will be.
Career
I always try to stay on top of my emotional well being, relaxation is a huge way I calm myself down and remain emotionally stable
Social
Career wellness revolves around the type of work you perform. Is it enjoyable? Do you like to work with your colleagues? If the answer is no, you may be unhappy with your current situation. Look at other opportunities you can take that would make working more enjoyable.
Human interaction and relationships are key in maintaining wellness. Surrounding yourself with not only good people, but people you enjoy having around and have a positive impact in your life. Family is the most important however. Family happiness can boost your over well being.
I do not have a job at the moment, however I am working very hard in school to get accepted into the program I want. My eventual goal is to become a phys-ed teacher. Sound familiar Fleming?
Human interaction for myself is a huge factor in my life. My circle is small but the people I have in it, I would die for. These are people I trust with my life and have my ultimate respect.
Environmental
The wellness of our planet has major implications on our well being. We feel inclined to help our environment in any way possible, whether it be by planting trees or reducing our carbon footprint.
Intellectual
Where am I on This Journey?
Littering is a massive pet peeve of mine, I always avoid doing it. Also, I limit my shower time to under ten minuets to avoid wasting water.
Intellectual wellness surrounds impacts that you contribute to things such as your school, community, job, etc. Your intellectual abilities are always on display, whether through school work, problems or challenges at work, or even problems at home. Your intellectual ability attributes to your overall wellness, your ability to get things done in an orderly time and fashion as well as your capability to achieve certain goals can give you a huge wellness boost.
During this extremely difficult time, I believe that my overall wellness is about average. Physically, socially, environmentally, and spiritually are the elements that I am still performing well. However I am struggling with the emotional, intellectual, and career elements. With all this uncertainty surrounding our world it can be difficult at time to remain at my peak wellness. Hopefully this pandemic ends relatively soon so I can go back to doing the things I love and see the people I care about.
Sports is another huge part of my life. Without sports I would be a completely different person. Achieving accomplishments in the sports I play is a massive part of why I do it.
