Projects live within a team in Asana and store tasks.
You can use them to:
3. You can now begin to populate your project with tasks.
1. Left side of your dashboard under your Team, find the PROJECTS header and click the '+' to create a project.
2. A pop-up window will appear where you will type in the name of your new project and confirm the team involved in the project.
2. Use sections to organize the tasks in the project. You can organize by deadlines, time frames and more.
1. There are two ways to create a task: click Create a Task, or click the plus sign at the top of the dashboard.
Add followers to a task.
Tag a team member in the task's comment section to notify them.
Click 'Add Section' button.
While there can only be one assignee, others can follow the task. They will also receive notifications about this task.
Type in desired title and description, if needed.
To tag a team member, while commenting you can type @ then the name.
Or click the @ symbol in the bottom of the text box.
Arrange tasks that fall under that section.
Attach documents to the task that will help team members. Be sure to clearly identify the attachment.
3. Assign tasks and give due dates. Be clear in the description as to what this task entails.
As you type in a name the members will appear.
Select a date and time, if needed.
Before uploading, be sure to tell all followers of this task what this attachment is and how it helps move the task along.
Be as clear as possible in the description.
