How employees respond to dissatisfaction?

Fact: How people respond to dissatisfaction depends on the situation.

1. Deal with emotional reaction before attempting to resolve the problem

2. Avoid behavior that heightens adverse emotional reactions

3. Employee's behavior likely to dissipate adverse emotional reactions

It’s important to understand your emotions, control your reactions, and recognize how your emotions affect your actions and the actions of others you’re having so that you understand what generated them and learn to manage them more effectively.

Managing emotion is the concept of managing other people's emotions is an emotive issue! To some, it smacks immediately of exploitation.

Our purpose is to summary ways in which people's emotional behavior can be managed at work for the benefit of those concerned. 'Managed' does not mean denying or suppressing emotion. Rather, it means enabling people to fulfill their job demands, while avoiding the adverse consequences of unregulated emotional behavior.
