What is the ethnic make up of the gang? Are women included?
The make up of the gang initially was predominately Puerto Rican males, but now it's dominated by Mexicans in the Mideast and Chicago. Women are allowed into the gang as well. They now get an equal share of what goes on in the actual gang. The Latin Queens are made up of self respected, independence, family supportive, ethnic identity, and self-empowered women. They treat the women as eqaul as the men so if a King member of the gang was to cuss out one of the Queen's, the penalty would be death.
Where are they Located?
Where is the gang from? Are they local, regional, national, or international?
Does the gang have a specific tattoo or wear an article of clothing to determine who they are?
The gang was originally formed in Chicago, Illinois in the 1940's. They started out in the United States around Chicago and New York City. But they have spread to some parts of Latin America, Spain, and Europe. But for the most part they are a nationwide suburban gang hanging around in cities. The main cities are Chicago and the "tribes" in New York City.
They wear the colors black and gold and some of the members get either a 3 point or 5 point crown tattoo.
Warning signs for parents that their child may be in a gang or close to be joining one is that they are staying out late, doing drugs, have specific tattoos, or wearing specific articles of clothing. Some things that parents can do to try and prevent their kids from a gang life is to try and keep them in school as much as possible, always know where they are at all times and know where they are going.
What was the intention of creating the gang? Why did they do it?
How does the gang survive economically? How do they make their money illegally?
The Almighty Latin King and Queen Nation survives economically by selling illegal drugs. These drugs include power cocaine, crack cocaine, heroin, and marijuana
The original intention of the gang was create a way for all Latinos to unite as one and to keep each other all protected and to help fight against the struggles they were having such as prejudgment, oppression, and racism.
