- There's lots of societal pressure to get married by the age of 35
- On the other hand, divorce is also a big deal
- If women get a divorce, it will be hard for her to re-marry especially if she has kids from a previous marriage

- Red is a color reserved for the dead
- It's taboo to write a person's name or sign documents in red

Tattoos
- A taboo is a behavior that is generally not accepted by a society
- Cultural norms that are shaped by tradition and history
- Some think it's taboo to have a tattoo in Korea
- If it's visible, people will most likely stare
- Visible tattoos won't do any favors for those wanting to teach in Korea
Women and Smoking
- It's generally taboo for women to smoke
- If they do, they should go under an awning or in an alley out of sight
