What is the UEA Award?

By the end of today you will know...

  • Recognition of the range of activities, both academic and extra-curricular that you undertake during your time at UEA.

  • Helps you develop a set of key attributes, equipping you for graduate employment and life after UEA.

  • The UEA Award involves making activities you already do ‘count’ as well as giving opportunity to try new things.

  • The UEA Award has three levels: Bronze, Silver and Gold to cater for different levels of commitment, with a minimum number of hours required for each.

  • You can undertake the Award throughout the 3/4 years of your undergraduate degree.

  • What the UEA Award involves and what it might mean for you;

  • Have information on how to register;

  • Benefits of the Award for a Bronze Award student.

How can I get involved?

1. Have fun and enrich your experience at UEA. Make the most of your time here and know that you are developing attributes desirable to employers and society.

2. Gain greater awareness of your strengths and areas for development. The UEA Award provides a framework to help you track your progress.

3. Be in the know. By doing the Award you will get to know what’s going on (there’s an amazing range of things to do at UEA) and you’ll be able to get more involved.

4. Improve your CV: a CV that does justice to your experience at UEA will help you to stand out when you are making applications.

5. Get recognition: a certificate from the University acknowledging your achievements that can be shown to employers.

  • Registration is open – register at www.uea.ac.uk/award
