Langston Hughes was a great American poet who
was born on February 1st, 1901. He moved to Washington D.C to pursue his writing and poetry dream. He wrote his first book of poetry in 1924 titled "The Weary Blues." Hughes wrote hundreds of poems during his life and died on May 22nd, 1967 in New York City.
