Memphis was founded by Menes,the first king of United Egypt.
Memphis was the capital city of Egypt during the Old Kingdom(2575-2130B.C.)
The city's ancient Egyptian name was Inebou-Hedjou, whih is translated to be "white walls"
The city's god was Ptah, and the temple of Ptah was called the Palace of Apries.
