- Tom was elected leader of Canada’s NDP to carry the torch of bringing change to Ottawa.

- In 1994 he was elected National Assembly in Quebec and went on to serve as Environment Minister
As a group we decided that we would vote for the NDP because their intentions are those that will benefit everyone in Canada and make Canada a better and safer county to live in.
