Needed Changes

HR Knowledge

Performance Evaluations

We plan to educate the HR department and increase their knowledge of the laws that are regulated by the EEOC under the ADA. All HR staff will be required to attend refresher courses and seminars to increase knowledge of employee relations.

An Evaluation of employees performance will be measured based on specific statistics produced by managers of the employees within each production area. Evaluation will be reviewed by the HR department periodically so proper decisions can be made and necessary consequences for lack of production can be enforced. Evaluation of employee performance will also be made available to employees be the HR department. By allowing the employees to see these reports it gives employees who may be producing less than is required knowledge and motivation to improve their work efforts and increase their effectiveness.

Health Improvement Incentives

Health and Fitness Programs

In relation to heath and fitness programs, incentives of weight loss or increases in overall health will be implemented to motivate employees to be healthier and improve the well-being of the employees within the company. Healthy, active employees can be effective in an increase in production.

Implementing a health and fitness program will help fight the battle against obesity and provide a source of overall health. Creating this program will motivate employees to be healthy and understand the importance of health and its affects on their performance in the work place and also their overall happiness and well-being.

EEOC and The ADA

On behalf of Kratz the EEOC sued BAE for violating the laws stated under the Americans with disabilities Act.

ADA

The purpose of the Americans with Disabilities Act is to prevent discrimination in the work place against those who have physical or mental disabilities, employers are required to accommodate employees who have physical or mental disabilities.
