Fill a clarity tube with river or lake water look through the hole and pull the string when you see the black weight stop and measure the bottom of the tube to the black weight
Kahikatea trees was cut down in the olden days because, In the early decades of the 20th century Kahikatea timber was used to make boxes in which butter was exported to Great Britain. Unlike most other woods, Kahikatea did not taint the butter ( Make the butter smell different).

Kahikatea is a native tree to New Zealand.It grows throughout New Zealand on moist, fertile soils, and is the dominant tree of swampy lowland areas, the best place to plant Kahikatea trees is in a wetland.The Kahikatea seedling bears juvenile foliage until 1-2 m high.Kahikatea trees were once widespread in lowland forest. They belong to New Zealand’s largest conifer family.
